MND Australia: Tim Minchin & the Sydney Symphony Orchestra

An orchestra, like a human being, requires all of its parts to work together. This is the message demonstrated in the latest video from MND Australia who someday hope to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.

On the 25th August 2015, Tim Minchin and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra came together to perform Neil Finn’s ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over'. But there was more to the performance than expected.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is the name given to a group of diseases in which the nerve cells (neurones) controlling the muscles that enable us to move, speak, swallow and breathe degenerate and die. MND is also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in many parts of the world. MND won’t just fade away, hence why help is needed. By donating, you will be helping to fund vital research into a cure and also to support people living with MND.

Watch the video on YouTube below and donate to hear Tim and the orchestra play on. Thank you.
